For Immediate Release – Tiger Talk Tuesday, a weekly 90 minute live radio broadcast on 92.7 The Tiger about Fern Creek High football and fall sports, will premiere August 24 at the Buffalo Wings and Rings in Fern Creek. The program will air live on 92.7 The Tiger, the only student-run, FCC-licensed radio station in Jefferson County. The station also streams live at http://www.927thetiger.com.
Coaches, players, and fans will be interviewed live each week from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the restaurant. “We want all Fern Creek families, friends and fans to come out for some great food and to be part of a fun program,” said Houston Barber, principal of Fern Creek Traditional High School. “Our wonderful friends at Buffalo Wings and Rings are not only sponsoring the show, they will donate back 15% of each check that night to our ACT Up! test prep program.” Coupons are available at the school.
The program is hosted by Russ Cummins and Danny Brown, who also do color and play-by-play analysis of Tiger football and basketball games. Football Coach Curtis Higgins will appear each week, along with coaches and players from other Tiger teams.
Fern Creek Traditional High School is a Communications, Media and the Arts school with a rich history as the first high school in Jefferson County.
